Royal Symphony of Roses and EGL bring and Buy

July 15, 2024

Hello lovelies,

what a freaking weekend. I can't believe we managed to plan and execute an event in just a few months. I am exhausted but happy.

We had planned a tea party for October 2024, but then our main organizer got a message in October 2023 from Haenuli asking, if we could plan an event in June 2024 as she would be in Europe. And we took the opportunity. Oh boy, that was a mistake. The pride parade in Vienna was at the same weekend and at the same location. It was chaos. It was madness. But we made it. We had an amazing team and an amazing person who did all the sponsoring request and who arguably did most of the work.

Pre-teaparty

Before the pre-party dinner we had already carried half of the items into the basement of Rathauskeller - all the clothes racks and boxes from Haenuli. It was hot, I was sweaty and grumpy.

As for the dinner itself, I was not hungry and only had the strawberry dessert plate with three different strawberry themed desserts and it was so good!

Here is a group picture of the organization team, Haenuli, Iris, and RinRin. The schnitzel was so huge!

I wore my library lady dress from Haenuli because I thought it was fitting. Sadly, I don't have a full body picture, but I wore my Angelic Pretty Hairpiece and thought it looked super cute. The blouse is from Infanta.

The tea party

We started work around 10-11am and we barely made it before the first guests arrived. There was still so much to do and the VIP entry was at 1pm. I was glad that they had a good aircon because I was sweating so much, it was really disgusting. :(

Our raffle system is a bit different than other events. Rather than calling each number indiviually, every ticket wins and you can pick up your price anytime at the back. This was where I spend most of the time.

And here is my outfit for the day. I am wearing the Angelic Pretty dress with a flower crown and a small crown.

Selfie with Hias. The camera filter reddens his face all the time.

And here is the full outfit. It's simple but cute!

We also had food and those were some of the dishes. And of course, we had dessert. And even vegan options.

Our special guest was RinRin and this was her booth.

Selfie with RinRin! She was so kind and lovely, it was a pleasure meeting her.

As for the program, we had a fashion show, Q&A with RinRin and Haenuli and best dress award. I hope the people all had an amazing time, because I know that the team did.

At 6pm the event was over and we had to clean up and bring out everything again. After 6 hours on my feet, I was exhausted. I carried boxes up the stairs and out of the room, then wait for the car to pick it up. At least I could freshen up and change for the dinner with the team.

We went to Siebensternbräu and I ate fish and chips and curd dumplings with nougat and plum sauce.

Day 2 - Bring & Buy

We had to be at the location "Blauer Salon" around 10pm and then moved around the tables and set up the hangers again. The location was much bigger than last time but still too small for all the people. Some had to wait for ages until they were able to enter.

I though this Moirite dress was perfect for the event as it was airy. Boy was I wrong, I was sweating again like mad. Yuck yuck.

And here are some pictures from the Bring and buy, this was taken from the right side of the venue.

And this was just to the left of the picture. I didn't take a picture from the other sides.

After the event, the rest went for dinner again but I was just too exhausted. I went on the couch and didn't get up again for hours.

Monday was fun but at least I had a wonderful story to tell.

And here is my bring and buy haul:

I have been wanting this print for a long time but it was always a bit too pricy. But then I saw the skirt and had to buy it.

Look at these gorgeous details!

This was another dress on my list and another girl from the community snatched the dress under my nose but she gave up on lolita and sold most of her items and I could get the dress. hehe.

I plan to wear this in winter underneath my dresses as I, most of the time, wear camisols anyway.

A cute and airy cardigan with butterfly sleeves. Why not?

The next are not from the bring and buy per se, but some items I bought from another girl from the community. She just brought me the items at the event because I have no time to attend the monthly meet-ups anymore :(.

This is a Liz Lisa dress with blue florals.

And here a super comfy pink dress. Doesn't it just scream Auris?

Another Liz Lisa item of a short top with frilly sleeves.

And, the last item was another top with longer sleeves in red.

And here is my haul from the tea party.
This is the content of the vip goodie bag. There were so many items! We had marmalade from Stauds, cups from cute paradise, voucher codes, pins, a booklet and washi tape from Haenuli and so much more.

Hias bought me the mezzo pin, the ring and necklace, and I bought the picture is from petit point Vienna. I didn't really have time to look at the booths which was a shame.

And these are Hias and my raffle gifts. We both got a small bag and pins and hair accessoires. While typing this entry I just realized that I am wearing the hairclip which is at the top of the second picture.

All the best,
Auris Lothol
